< Japan-Spain the festival for Peace and Art “One Flower Festival”>
This was the festival held in Santander, Spain, where Art and Food were combined under the theme of Joining together Japan and Spain. It met many people’s approbation and
obtained a multitude of cooperation and sponsorship.

This Japan-Spain cultural exchange programme was under the overall direction of Gen Akashi and Javier Canduela. It led to the programme of student exchange between Conservatorio Ataúlfo Argente
and Chiba Meitoku College which started in the year of 2013 till 2019.

To exchange culture between Japan and Austria, we visited music schools in Austria. We sang songs and recited stories in both languages. We also held a joint stage performance there.
This was at the invitation of the Mayer of Deutsche-Wagram, Austria.

The recitation play, produced in Japan, was performed there.
It was praised and endorsed by Viktol Frankl Institute of Vienna, and we received a praising and supporting letter from its representative.
The recitation play, “Is there flower blossoming within heart? – Poem and Inner flower”, which the main theme was based on the book “Man’s Search for Meaning” by Viktol Frankl.

The leading guitarist was invited from Spain. Together with music, we questioned “what is the quintessence of sound of Japanese Language which is founded on poems?”
We also sought that of the resonance of words as well.
Ministry of Culture, Spain, Gracian Funds cooperated and sponsored the project.

We hosted two concerts in Scotland on the commemorative days of atomic bombings in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, at St Salvator's Chapel in St Andrews with the kind support of Dr. Donal MacEwan, the chaplain, and Greenbank Parish Church in Glasgow with the cooperation of Revd. Jeanne Roddick.
